This two-day, one-night journey lets nature and childhood spirits soar together on the breeze.

Trip Highlights: Colorful Hot-Air Balloons, Forests, and Lakes in a Two-Day, One-Night Family Journey
Day 1 begins with the sweeping views of Luye Highland, where the lush green slopes reveal the beauty of the Longitudinal Valley. If you visit during the summer Taiwan International Balloon Festival, you can also admire the colorful hot-air balloons overhead. In the afternoon, visit Luye Formosan Sika Deer Park to interact with deer and other small animals, then continue on to Ercengping Aqueduct, known for its red-and-white arched structure. On the following day, embrace the city's natural side. Rent a bicycle at Taitung Forest Park and ride between forests and lakes, then continue on to Seaside Park to enjoy the ocean breeze and see the International Landmark. End the journey at Taitung Children's Sports Park, a hot-air balloon-themed park where children can have a wonderful time on a variety of inclusive play facilities. Over two days and one night, this itinerary is filled with nature, recreation, and family interaction, creating lasting memories for the whole family.

It is a wonderful place for children to run freely and breathe in the fresh air. During the summer vacation, this is also the venue for the Taiwan International Balloon Festival. Stop 2: Longtian Bicycle Trail
After leaving the highland, continue to the gently graded Longtian Bicycle Trail. With a total length of about 7.2 kilometers, it is ideal for the whole family to ride together. Its red-and-white arched structure stretches across broad rice fields, with the Central Mountain Range in the background, forming a picturesque rural landscape. Most notably, the difference in terrain creates an apparent reverse flow, earning it the nickname of the East Longitudinal Valley version of Water Running Upward.
As you stroll along the aqueduct, you can view ceramic mural walls depicting the history of farming, admire the valley scenery from the observation platform, and perhaps even catch a train passing through the fields. With the changing seasons, the surroundings alternate between blooming flower fields and waves of golden rice.

The park features slides, seesaws, and other play equipment, along with a large green lawn where children can run and play to their hearts' content, surrounded by mountains and rice fields.

One of the best ways to explore is by renting a bicycle and riding leisurely through the verdant, tree-lined paths while breathing in the fresh forest air.
Along the way, do not miss the "Wutouweng"-themed play tower, inspired by the county bird of Taitung County, where children can climb and stay active. Then follow the bike path all the way to the seaside park, where the scenery shifts from forest views to the boundless expanse of the Pacific Ocean.
