Chihshang bento Museum

Not really interestingOn the first floor is a restaurant of Bento, and on the second floor there is a space for exhibition. But I had impression that it was not well maintained. The old train wagons in front of the museum are more interesting.
Convenient, fast lunchConvenient and fast. Typical lunchbox food but it serves the purpose. They have a vegetarian option. You can sit inside train cars which sounds fun but on the day we were there it was so crowded we could not get a seat and had to huddle in a comer and eat standing. If it's crowded get it to go and go down to the nearby pond or a park for a more leisurely experience.
Lunch boxThis is a mixture of super mini rice museum, n selling of lunchbox n mini rice mart. You can order lunchboxes of deepfried chicken or boiled chicken, black pepper chicken etc. Selling also 古早味 tibits, rice crackers etc. Deco is quite 古早味，with two train cabins for people to have lunch. Quite interesting. Outside many fruits stalls.
A good place for lunch or dinner if you are visiting ChishangWe went there for lunch while visiting the Brown's Road. There were a lot of tourists there. It was a bit hard to find seats, but it was a good experiences to have while at Chishang. The bento were pretty good as well.
Cool museum, garbage foodThe museum is pretty cool but don't bother with the food. Maybe the quality was good once, but the bento boxes weren't even as good as the MREs they roll out on Asian airlines. I was able to sample 4 different bentos. Their rice was actually not bad, just kind of cold. Everything else was horrible. Rubber egg, rubber tofu, rubber meats (in the Original bento especially), and bland stale-ish food overall. If these were served 3 days ago, they might have been decent. No wonder why there are so many stray dogs around. There should be other places in town that sell much better bentos. Otherwise pick up a bag of the legendary Chishang rice and cook some yourself!
