To promote Taiwan Excellence and MICE, the Bureau of Foreign Trade, MOEA and TAITRA partnered once again with Taitung County Government. Their 4th time collaboration featured a Taiwan Excellence and MEET TAIWAN hot air balloons emblazoned with their names. As part of their overseas promotion strategy, the Taiwan's MICE Promotion Program (MEET TAIWAN) and Taiwan Excellence hot air balloon began the first of many forays into the air on May 13 during the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Hat Yai, Thailand. On July 1, it slowly rose again with eight other balloons in Luye Highland during the grand opening of the 2018 Taiwan International Hot Air Balloon Festival.

Combining Online and Offline PR Events to Generate Buzz

In conjunction with the Taiwan International Hot Air Balloon Festival, Taiwan Excellence and MEET TAIWAN started giving away tickets in May through Facebook events such as hot air balloon psychological tests. The interesting and interactive games were shared and generated positive feedback from fans. Log into Facebook now and search for Taiwan Excellence and MEET TAIWAN fan pages to get the latest information on ticket giving and other events.

Starting from June 30, Taiwan Excellence and MEET TAIWAN set up booths at Luye Highland with entertaining mini-games such as It Takes Two for Taiwan Excellence, Taiwan Excellence mini-school, MEET TAIWAN nine-square grid, and large pinball machines. Participants not only receive souvenir gifts from Taiwan Excellence and MEET TAIWAN, they also get a chance to paint mini hot air balloons to be displayed at Taitung Tiehua Music Village. Everyone is welcome to join and MEET TAIWAN in Taitung. Feel the passion of Taiwan Excellence!

On July 4, a live broadcast of a hot air balloon PR event was held on-site in Luye Highland. Famous bloggers were invited to share their hot air balloon experiences, after which they took part in a Q&A session and ticket drawing.

Both Taiwan Excellence and MEET TAIWAN are projects undertaken by TAITRA that are commissioned by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, MOEA. Taiwan Excellence presents the most innovative top products of Taiwan's industries. To have closer contact with citizens, events such as a Taiwan Excellence Happy Run and Taiwan Excellence Bicycle Ride were held for the first time. In addition, a Little Director event for children was held in the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion at the Nangang Exhibition Hall.
