Visitors are always impressed by the unique architecture of the Presbyterian Church in Jhangyuan Village. The building takes form of a huge white ship with blue wave patterns painted at the bottom,colorful steps fixated in the front,an ascending corridor,and a red cross standing on the ship’s prow. When the old church building was damaged by typhoon in 1990,villagers started to rebuild it with increasing interests. To raise funds,local residents sold vegetables and frogs and volunteered. Eventually,an ark was born,which serves as a symbol to Amis' love for fishing and a witness to Noah's spirit.
