“Chengguangao Cultural Landscape” is the former historic site of “Guanghengfa Shop,” in line with Siaogang Fishery Harbor and Siaogang Matsu Temple. “Guanghengfa Shop” used to be the largest grocery store along the coastline of Hualien and Taitung. It was constructed by a Hakka person Wen Tai-kun. After the second world war, Wen’s family moved out. In 1996 when Hualien-Taitung Highway was widened, the northern side of the archway was demolished. The debris left make people recall the past.
