Jinzun Fishing Port is located in Donghe Township of Taitung County, between Xingang Fishing Port in Chenggong Township and Fugang Fishing Port in Taitung City. Construction began in 1984 and was completed in 1987. Jinzun Fishing Port is an excellent fishing spot all year round. 

From November every year, the waves brought by the northeasterly monsoon make Jinzun an excellent surfing venue. With a push from Taitung County Government, Jinzun Fishing Port became the venue for the Taiwan Open of Surfing in 2011. It is not only the highest-level surfing event in Taiwan, but also an international event recognized by the World Surf League. Jinzun Fishing Port therefore is where the best surfers from Taiwan and top international surfers gather.
