Datienchih (The Heavenly Pond) is a crater of a volcano and a lake that had undergone rain alluvial process. Silently standing on the Dasenshan Mountain at an altitude of 480 m,this lake is surrounded by primitive forests and rainforest,as well as versatile ecological resources. Standing amidst Datienchih are dried and withered tree trunks. Together with the moving clouds and thick fogs,the mysterious atmosphere makes it a sacred land. Some call it Un Da Dau,meaning lifeless waves,while others call it Du Wa Wa,meaning a sea over hills,or where apparitions appear.
