Qingqing Grassland offers different beauty in each season. In spring, the grassland is covered by wild lilies and leopard plant flowers. These yellow and white dots scattered in the green field make a beautiful picture. In spring and summer, you can walk through the green grassland and enjoy nature. In fall and winter, the northeast monsoon turns the grassland yellow, which becomes a different kind of beauty. You can enjoy the different scenery here in all seasons.

To get here, you must first watch out for the small entrance and road sign by the round-island highway. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the entrance to the end of the grassland. The first section of the trail is covered by Chinese silvergrass as tall as people. As you get towards the end, the grass becomes shorter, until you can reach the vast grassland. There is little shade on the vast Qingqing Grassland so if you plan to visit during the day, be sure to wear sun protection and stay hydrated!

If you would like to avoid the scorching sun, the sunset and starry sky at Qingqing Grassland will be perfect for you. The orange-red sunset will color the grassland fiery red. The colors of the sky during the magical hour are also unforgettable. With the light cast on the distant headland or Little Lanyu, a beautiful oil painting is made. The splendid starry sky will slowly appear after sunset. On Lanyu, where there is little light pollution, you can even see the Milky Way with your naked eyes. If you plan to visit at sunset, be sure to bring a flashlight to avoid walking in the dark.
