Green Island(Ludao) Lighthouse is the area's landmark. With 33.3 m in height, the lighthouse is located at Bitoudao Cape, at the end of Green Island(Ludao) Airport. In 1937, American liner President Hoover hit a reef and was grounded at Green Island(Ludao). The locals made their best effort to rescue liner passengers day and night. In order to show the gratitude, the US donated a lighthouse in the following year. The Lighthouse's current look is a result of renovation in 1948.
