Dawu National Forest Trail

Tuesday: Open 24 hours a day

The Dawu Station of Forestry Bureau can be reached by turning left at Dawu Crossover Bridge at the 435km mark on Provincial Highway No.9. A national forestry trail is paved with crosstie and goes around the area on the hill behind the station. The total length of this loop trail is 1.1 km and takes half an hour's walk to complete. It attracts both local residents and visitors taking strolls here. Along the trail are versatile vegetation with explanatory signs, accompanied by butterflies, birds, and insects. The stone tables and seats on the sides offer the weary legs a place to rest. Views of Dawu streets and coast can be captured on the sightseeing platforms and pavilions. Without high elevation,Green Island and Lanyu are sometimes visible though from this area on sunny days.
