FLocated in Chenggong Township, Taitung County, the Sanxiantai is one of the most iconic natural and cultural landmarks on the East Coast. Nowadays, only a magnificent eight-arch cross-sea footbridge, resembling a reclining dragon, connects the main island of Taiwan to the offshore islet of Sanxiantai, guiding travelers on an exploratory journey that combines mythology with maritime wonders. The islet is covered with spectacular geological marvels formed from volcanic agglomerate, including sea stacks, potholes, and tunnel-like sea arches, which are truly breathtaking.
