Dulan Sugar Factory Culture Park is located in Dulan Village, Donghe Township, at the foot of the beautiful Dulan Mountain. Dulan Sugar Factory was first built with private funding in the 1930s during the Japanese colonial rule. Due to the outstanding local conditions for growing sugarcane, its annual output once ranked first among the 19 sugar factories in Taiwan. However, due to changes in Taiwan's economic structure, the factory closed in 1991 and remained idle for many years. Under the guidance of Taitung County Government, it has been transformed into the Dulan Sugar Factory Culture Park. Artists, local youth entrepreneurs, and restaurant businesses are invited to this factory of dreams to share their enthusiasm for art and culture.
