Dongsing Village is the largest Rukai community in Taitung County. Formerly named Danan, the village was renamed to Dongsing after a fire, but thankfully the traditional culture and legacy were still well preserved. Every July, the village holds a characteristic harvest festival that consists of a swing game, ancestor worshiping and blessing rituals led by the chief.
