Liji Badlands covers a wide area from the north of Taitung Bridge to the east side of Beinan River, with a total length of about 100 kilometers. As the most exposed spot is located in Liji Village, it was named Liji Badlands. Liji Badlands is the first designated local geological park in Taitung County and is known as Taitung's national geological treasure. The East Rift Valley National Scenic Area Headquarters has installed facilities such as pavilions and wood plank trails here, hoping to promote geo-tourism and introduce Taiwan's beauty to more visitors.
