Luming Suspension Bridge is located in Yanping Township of Taitung, at the intersection of the three townships of Yanping, Luye, and Beinan. Built in 1959, it was one of the main bridges on the old Provincial Highway 9. This steel cable suspension bridge is about 100 meters in length. After Provincial Highway 9 was straightened in 1984 and the new Luming Bridge was built, Luming Suspension Bridge was gradually replaced. However, it remains an important connecting road for Hongye Village and the mountainous area of Yanping Township.

The locals often call it "Old Luming Suspension Bridge" or "Old Luming Bridge." In 2003, it was designated as a historical building by Taitung County Government. Under the planning of Yanping Township Office, it was renovated into Luming Suspension Bridge Recreation Area with a pedestrian walk with views and an observation deck.
