Lidao Tribe is a beautiful mountain-town located at the 176.5 km mark of Southern Cross-Island Highway. With an altitude of 1,068 m, it is the first settlement by the Bunun during a southward migration. The contented tribesmen grow high mountain vegetables and tea here. This tribal village is famous for redroofed white houses standing on the river terrace surrounded by mountains. The fairy-tale like landscape with mountains afar and fogs in the backdrop would set any onlookers to gaze in wonder. During spring, the cherry blossoms make the view even more overwhelming.
