The Changguang Site is located at the foot of Jingang Mountain in Changbin Township, Taitung County, on the eastern foothills of the Coastal Mountain Range, backed by mountains and facing the sea. In 1993, land leveling by the property owner accidentally uncovered the mysterious “Changguang Rock Coffin,” and subsequent excavations revealed burial features and exquisite jade artifacts. It is a representative site of the late Neolithic-period “Chilin Culture,” dating back approximately 3,500 years.
