Introduction

Anchor
Luanshan Forest Culture Museum is a natural museum with no concrete walls. It preserves a vast stretch of primeval forest along with numerous native white banyan trees. The sight of these giant trees, whose canopies block out the sky, is breathtaking—much like the fantastical scenes from the movie Avatar. It is also a sacred place for experiencing the Bunun people’s wisdom of the mountain forests. Over time, the banyan trees’ aerial roots spread outward and take root in the ground, earning them the nickname “walking trees.”
