Located in Chishang Township, Taitung County, the Chishang Canal Park is a lush park that integrates water conservancy engineering, ecological conservation, and rural landscapes. The park is centered around the historic Chishang Canal irrigation system. First excavated during the late Qing Dynasty and later expanded and modernized during the Japanese colonial period, this canal irrigates over one thousand hectares of farmland. It serves as the indispensable lifeblood of Chishang's agriculture and has nurtured the renowned Chishang rice culture, which is famous throughout Taiwan.
