Located at the southernmost tip of Changbin Township in Taitung, the Jieqiao Recreation Area is connected to Chenggong Township by a single bridge. The area is home to a small Amis Indigenous community. The name "Jieqiao" signifies the boundary between Changbin and Chenggong. In the Amis language, it is referred to as "Carapongay," which translates to "foggy place," reflecting the region's humid and misty climate.
