Located in Jinlun, Taimali Township, St. Joseph Catholic Church is distinguished by its unique design, which is inspired by the traditional pottery jars of the Paiwan people. Constructed from dark slate, its striking black façade contrasts sharply with the typical white churches found elsewhere. This church is one of the extremely rare black-colored churches in the world, revealing a profound connection to Indigenous culture and serving as a remarkable spiritual and architectural landmark in Taitung.
