Kolado't Tribe is located in Changbin Township, Taitung County. Together with Polo't Tribe, they are the northernmost tribes in Taitung County. The residents are mainly Amis and Kavalan people who migrated here from Paterungan Tribal Village in Fengbin Township after the Kabalaen Incident. The original name of this place was Guzilu. In 1937, as there were many wild camphor forests in the nearby mountains, it was renamed “Zhangyuan”, indicating it was once an important camphor harvest site. Since the two tribes live here together, in addition to the Amis harvest festival, around July every year, the Kavalan communities of Kolado't and Polo't hold a 2-3 day sea festival (sepaw tu lazing) where elders offer sacrifices to the ancestral and sea spirits to worship and pray for a bountiful harvest.
