Chishang Barn Art Museum is located next to Chishang Railway Station. Mr. Liang Cheng-hsien offered his own 60-year-old barn, and it was renovated with more than a year of hard work by Professor Chen Kuan-hua and his students from Yuan Ze University. The collective memory of Chishang was applied to reinterpret the local spirit and aesthetics. Immediately after the opening, the building won the first prize and the owner's prize in the 2019 Far East Architectural Design Award - Old House Renovation Special Award. Graphic and multimedia art exhibitions are held here. Accomplished domestic and foreign artists are invited to give lectures. The art museum is not only a memorial hall that preserves local memories, but also an important art center that connects local culture with domestic and foreign art trends. Walking into Chishang Barn Art Museum, you will discover a certain airiness allowed by by the floor-to-ceiling windows. The natural light brought in from the outside facilitates and elevates the viewing experience. The old photos and paintings retain memories that the locals share.
