The Takofan Wonderland is situated along the Beinan River's eastern side in Degao Village, Guanshan Township, Taitung County. Spanning approximately 2 to 3 hectares, it was originally a wetland area left after construction by the Water Resources Agency. In collaboration with the Guanshan Township Office and the Irrigation Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture, the area was transformed into an artificial pond and named after the local Amis Takofan Tribe.

The primary goal of the Takofan Wonderland's development was to promote diversified water resource utilization and harness the natural advantages of the wetland to nurture indigenous flora and fauna, thereby enhancing the wetland's ecological diversity. On clear days, the serene pond reflects the azure sky, offering sweeping views of endless rice paddies and the distant Central Mountain Range, creating a tranquil setting that soothes both body and mind.
