Huayuan Sunrise Viewing Deck located in Taimali has become Taitung's latest secret spot for sunrise and sea views since the launch in 2021. From the broad deck, you can enjoy the wide view of the M-shaped Huayuan Bay, and the traffic flow of the railway and road below. The silhouette of the moving train against the backdrop of the Pacific Ocean is picturesque like a postcard.

From the viewing deck, you can see the brightly colored orange Tze-Chiang Limited Express or the red-and-white Puyuma Express forming a beautiful arc with the green mountains not so far away, paired with the blue sky and white clouds and the vast Pacific Ocean below. On a clear day, you can also see Green Island in the distance along the sea surface. The view is excellent.
Besides the bay view with trains, Huayuan Sunrise Viewing Deck offers another angle for enjoying the beautiful Pacific Ocean. There is a huge landmark sign of TAIMALI on the other side. The colorful letters against the backdrop of the blue sky and ocean give a youthful vibe. This spot is highly suitable for a group photo.
