Green Island, located in the Pacific Ocean, is blessed with the warm Kuroshio current and versatile underwater terrain. It is a world-renowned diving destination. Taitung County Government collaborated with Chunghwa Post to set up the world's deepest underwater mailbox on the sandy seabed 60 meters offshore and 11.5 meters underwater in the Shilang snorkeling area of Green Island. Coleman's pygmy seahorse, a species unique to Taitung and known as the "fairies of Green Island," inspired the design of the mailbox. It is loved by divers from all around the world. The heart-shaped artificial reef nearby has also become a unique and popular social media photo spot of Green Island.
