    Chance Upon

    Traveler rating:4 2017-12

We just chance upon this place after our electric motor cycle trip way back from 伯朗大道 天堂路. I m a lousy n dangerous driver. We ordered the rice milk, n have some photos taking of the place. Quite interesting W nice Deco. One of the room n chair was told by owner to be sat n stayed before by two famous local politicians. There were also three fat beautiful cats lazing around. We also bought a 2018 table calendar with the 金城武树。

    Lovely 民宿

Cosy and beautiful wooden cottage styled bed and breakfast! Great host who provided us with very useful information regarding the surroundings. Cottage is overlooking the vast rice field and mountains... a view worth a million dollars. Will definitely recommend this cottage to anyone!

I stayed here for one night and I love this place. It is a simple guesthouse in a quiet village. The room is simple but comfortable enough. Breakfast is soymilk, sandwich and kiwi. Simple and healthy. I will come back to Chishang again! thanks for having me

    Good experience with hospitality

The hostel located far from the train station, but quite near the peaceful and beautiful part of the country. The owners were more than willing to pick u up from the train station. And even if they were not available, they would send a taxi in stead and pay for u!! There is a balcony over the second floor and u can see a magnificent view from it while having a cup of coffee. The owners were friendly and trustful, they were highly educated and returned to the countryside devoting their passion and life to it. The whole building were renovated from an old house with design and elegancy. A small drawback is the water temperature in our shower room were not really stable. Alternating in burning hot and freezing cold during my shower. A solution was to store the water in the basin to get the right temperature of warm water. Generally, I had a great experience here

Quiet gem amongst the rice fields

    Traveler rating:5 2012-09

We stayed at this B&B on Sept 9th 2012, and were the only customers for the night. Situated in Wan-an village, just a few minutes' drive from Chishang city, is this little gem of a two-story house, expanded from its original single level size. It faces lush greeny paddy fields and is just a 2min walk away from the local cultural center, where you can rent bikes at NT100/day, and take part in the making of your own pair of chopsticks keepsakes. Our room was named Autumn Harvest and although small, had beautiful views of the paddy fields. We absolutely loved the wooden decoration and green concept, along with the wide, open spaces of the verandah! Breakfast was entirely locally produced, with colorful rice buns and fresh fruits, as well as a delicious pineapple pudding and rice & soymilk freshly made! Owner and wife were both very friendly too. The only issue we had was that the toilet door creaks an awful lot.. but that's really about it, haha. If you ever are in Taitung, do plan for a stay here!
