Wonderful stay at this hotsprings resortThis was my favorite hotel on our trip around Taiwan. The hotel is well maintained, with an understated quality that is very Japanese influenced, but with a local Taiwanese flavor. The service was excellent, buffet restaurant well supplied and delicious (even for a vegetarian), and the hot springs themselves are well kept, serene, and beautiful. You have a choice of an individual in-room tub, an indoor hot springs spa with 4 different temperature pools (from 16C to 42C) and sauna, and an outdoor spring with a 42C pool and a smaller tub of cool but not cold hot springs water. This is a traditional onsen experience so it's mandatory no-swimsuit except for a pool outside that I didn't go to. There is a nice traditional native dance performance at night that was well done as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel/spa and would come back.
Beautiful locatiob, large room, Great hot springThis is a hot spring hotel with beautiful location on the mountain. They do have a bath in the room with hot spring water coming directly through the tap, but it is very small and two people can hardly seat there. There internal hot spring area is separated for men and woman and was really nice and good, with 3 small pools set at various temperatures and all the facilities needed there. There is also an outer hot spring pool without separation, but we did not use it. The hotel has an aboriginals folk show at the lobby which was nice to watch. For dinner we did not had much vegetarian choices and what we got was quite simple and just OK. Breakfast was good and room was spacious and clean.
Very good placeDue to taifun Bailu we had to shorten our program and arrived at the hotel quite early. They however were so flexible to accept our early check-in without any problems. The restaurants are good - we used all. Mainly the Tepanyaki restaurant is especially good for diner. The rooms have come to a certain age but are large enough and friendly. The bath one can take in the room is very special as the water comes from a hot spring and - accordingly - it smells. This means that you do not need to go in the public pool.
Great service! We enjoyed our Teppanyaki Restaurant meal to celebrate our anniversary. It was delicious and they even thoughtfully moved us to the lobby so we could catch some of the dance performance, which was indoors due to rain. We did enjoy our private hot springs hotel and hope next time we can spend more than one night there. But what impressed me most was that the hotel called our tour guide to let us know that our son had forgotten his airpod charger and we asked them to mail it to our Taipei Hotel, which would be 5 days away. Not only did they do that, but when I expected a charge, there was none. That's Five-Star service!
Family funMy family first time to visit Taitung... The hotel has some good service, especially the hot springs. The buffet was crowded with people . other wise the hotel is fine. I recommend trying all the hot springs 2nd floor and outside
