Average hostel with a good view

After all promising reviews it was a little bit disappointed to be honest. The facilities were fine, room quite clean but everything a bit outdated. Breakfast just simple as all hostels in Taiwan so far. We were unlucky with the weather for two days so was not much to do than staying in the room. Bathrooms and toilets are outdoors which makes it a bit annoying in the rain. Also bit outdated but fine. Good thing you can rent scooters from the hostel, although they are very strict on time. We couldn’t keep them a bit longer in low season to get around in sunshine before we left (9 AM). They could have been more loyal is what I’d expect, especially since the location is perfect with a scooter but highlights a bit far to walk too. Rest of the service was okay but nothing too special. the pick up service from the harbour (2 min drive only) was nice . Descent stay but too me nothing too special after they’re not really trying to be helpful in our situation.

It’s not fancy. Clean spacious rooms. The mattress was super comfy and I’m fussy when it comes to the bed. The owners are very friendly and provided good service. I liked that you could rent a scooter right from there for cheap and walk to doors down to 9 Bar to go diving which is right across the street from the ocean. Everything was so convenient. Great trip all around.

    First time here

Traveling along the coast and took a ferry to green island. We were picked up by hotel staff at the port and brought to the hotel. Very friendly helpful staff. Reasonable rates for the time of year. Rooms were clean and the beds were good. We were able to rent scooters right at the hotel. It’s a 5 min walk to a dive shop. My only complaint is the walls are pretty thin and you can hear your neighbors

    Hostel rather than hotel

    Traveler rating:3 2018-05

Our family of 4 - parents and two young sons (4&7) had 3 nights here. The rooms are small, curtains are thin, the breakfast is Asian and the towels are small so many are needed. But the staff are friendly, the grounds are great for relaxing in, the washing machine super helpful and there’s a plentiful supply of water - although sadly it’s in small plastic bottles rather than a filter system so lots of rubbish created. The location is good, and we hired an electric scooter to get around. All 4 of us on one bike was fine and certainly needed to have the flexibility around the island. The dive shop next door is a good option too! The whole place needs updating but for the space around it, it’s not a bad place. Accommodation over the whole island seemed very expensive so for semi budget, this is a good option.

    Ok for a Hostel.

Even though they have private rooms but this is more like a hostel not a hotel, if you are looking for something more relaxed with more hotel like service don’t put this in your list. But luckily the staffs are friendly so I will still give the stars for this. There are however many rooms for improvement: * The rooms need maintenance, our first room bathroom is very dated and require renovation to justify the cost. The second room was ok but cleaning and maintenance need attention as the cleaning and maintenance is not done properly. * They offer car rental service but unfortunately the car is old and run down. Car being old is OK but maintenance is totally neglected which made the car not safe for instance the tyre thread and brake is completely run out which make driving very dangerously we have to keep our speed down all the time because the car won’t stop in time in high speed. Some of the signal lights is not working (this is a major traffic hazard) people won’t know you are turning and increase the risk of crashes, air conditioning not working well smell like smog when you switch it on and won’t cool down and etc. I will not recommend anyone to rent a car from them unfortunately due to these hazards. * The towels provided are tiny (the smallest towel I have ever used) and have been in use for many years with dirty stains on them, although I understand this is mostly a hostel but as they provide private rooms at higher price I recommend providing proper towel for room guests. There are PROs however such as the friendly staffs, the manager I presume the young guy with spec is friendly, they pick you up from jetty and send you back too which is a nice gesture, everyone seems friendly and that is the core of hospitality service. Overall they have bunk beds which are very affordable and cheap, so if you are looking for budget accommodation Sanasai Inn will be one of the choice you need to look into, amenities wise for hostel service they are good at that and offer great values. But if you are looking for something more upscale with your own room with better service, look elsewhere as there are better place out there with better service at similar price range.
