    Good meal after the seaside

We finished cycling for the afternoon and came across this izakaya open for the evening. The shop is supposedly around for over 22 years. The stir fried beef is pretty good. Although there was yakitori we did not order as we were feeling full. The warm sake was serviceable and went well with the clam soup. The small size soup portion is actually good for 2, the larger pot is meant for around 5-6. This is worth a visit if you are in the area.

As we were here off season, there was pretty much only us there. Good service and enjoyable food. Glasses are a bit on the small side, but the bottles of beer are big!

    Food ok, but service terrible

    Traveler rating:3 2018-07

Service is bad: Tables do not get cleared in time, simple food that only needs to be put on the grill takes forever. Also no English menu or anyone having any degree of fluency in English (but that seems to be the standard here so no deductions for that). Food itself quite ok.

We had a fabulous meal for three hungry young and old men who had just cycled part of the route 1 up from Dawu. Lovely people run this place.

    Love this place!

We saw this place on the way to the Seashore Park. After having a pizza at Uncle Pete's Pizza for lunch, we all felt we needed to get some drinks for the dinner. So on the way back to our hotel, we decided to grab some beers before hitting the bed. Interesting enough was that this restaurant served pretty good food. The grills, stir-fried dishes and sushi - almost identical to Big Wheel's. Unlike Big Wheel's, Gee's waiter and waitress there did not speak much English; they were friendly and quite polite, though. Fortunately, the menu provides pictures of the food so it's quite straightforward. The draft beers were outstanding with the frozen glasses. One of the best places to go for the night in Taitung, folks.
